State games and National Inv. shoots

I have a question regarding these two events. Do you have to qualify for these or do you just sign up, pay your fees and go?

For the State Games, you register for the match and pay your fees. There is no qualifying match. In the next few months, check the "State Games" link at shootingsports.tamu.edu for information to be posted about the 2010 State Games.

For the National Invitational, shooters must be Senior level and complete an application process. Generally, these applications become available during the summer and are due in August. Our State Committee Members carefully select members to represent Texas on each of the 9 teams that compete at the Invitational. More information can be found regarding this year's match by clicking on the "2010 National 4-H Shooting Sports Invitational" link at shootingsports.tamu.edu. Also, check the "Applications" tab for a previous year's Texas Team Member application.

Feel free to email me at KLKubos@ag.tamu.edu. I will be more assistance via email than on the discussion board.
